I will work on the quantity, but trust GOD for the quality.

Lemon Watercolour Painting

Lemon Watercolour Painting

Starting My Lemon Trio – Watercolour Kitchen Wall Art

Today I finally started on a little project I’ve been dreaming about—a trio of lemon paintings that will eventually be framed and brighten up my kitchen wall. I began with watercolour painting (my first love), but I’m not afraid to add in gouache or even a touch of acrylics if the artwork calls for it.

I’m also filming the whole process for my art YouTube channel, so once all three lemon paintings are complete, I’ll be uploading the full video tutorial there.

Now, let’s get real for a moment: did I carefully sketch each lemon directly onto my watercolour paper? NOPE. I happily use the good old pre-school method of transferring images. It’s quick, simple, and it means I can get straight to the fun part—painting.

Because here’s the truth: I’m not a polished, “la-di-da” fine artist. I’m an enthusiastic creative who loves making everyday objects come alive with colour. And honestly? That’s exactly how I like it. These lemon paintings aren’t just art—they’re cheerful, handmade kitchen décor that I know will make me smile every time I see them. The completed trio will be posted when it’s done.

✨ If you’re also an enthusiastic creative, I’d love to hear how you approach your projects! Do you sketch, trace, transfer—or have your own unique method? Share your thoughts in the comments, and don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel to see the full lemon painting series once it’s ready.
