What can I say?  Wednesday Addams is one of my all-time favorite characters since childhood.  Jenna Ortega brought the character into this modern era for me.  In this case, I have to say I was not ready to paint her.  The end product is similar to the inspiration images but not jet there.

The video shows the 1st attempt and I tried twice more with worse outcomes so I will not be showing those images.  Just know they will live in my mind as a huge learning moment.

So this quote from her just resonated for me at this moment.

I’ve always hated the expression,  “write what you know.”  It’s a hall pass for the imagination-impaired.  But when your life becomes a twisted mystery, maybe it’s time to lean into it.
